The Astaria model village began construction way back in 2000. |

It has been a very long and sometimes arduous journey but one we feel has been well worth taking. |
|
Astaria is a little town with big magic and is the refuge of many characters from far and wide all with their own stories to tell. |
|
Most of the models are made from concrete, whilst all of the roofing has been made from recycled (scrap) roofing felt. The fences, sheds, windmill, bandstand etc. are all made from recycled coffee stirring sticks. I have even managed to make 3 of the properties from discarded drinking straws. |

The Astaria model village has been designed and fully funded by just one man, Alan Walker. |

Construction of the village has been done by just two men, Alan Walker and his long time friend and co member of the Events team, Dave Mead. |
