the tape was cut from across the model village entry tunnel - Astaria was now

declared “Officially “ open
|
The small ceremony was attended by 32 assorted family and friends from my own, and Dave’s list of “Specials”
|

The weather couldn’t have been any better for us considering it was Easter Sunday and we all know what usually happens on a bank holiday as far as the weather is concerned
|

I had asked Mr. John Lowe (Chairman of the Museum Of Power) to perform the actual “Cutting of the tape” and declare the village open. This he did in true style when he asked some small children from the audience to come forward and help him cut the ribbon
|

This was the moment that I have been waiting for for some 6 years now. It’s been a long haul but we got there. Both Dave and myself are extremely proud of what we have achieved with regards to Astaria
|
